2026年3月5日〜6日の2日間、宇治キャンパスのきはだホールにて、International workshop on climate changes assessed by high-resolution global and regional climate models and applications for national hazard assessmentsが開催されました。

国内外から約100名の研究者が一堂に会し、気候変動予測データの開発と水災害を中心とした気候変動の様々な影響評価に関して、口頭発表とポスターセッションによって最新の研究知見の共有と活発な議論が行われました。

佐山研究室からも多くのメンバーが登壇しました。エヴァ先生による口頭発表に加え、田中先生、Phaiさん、内村さんはポスター発表を通じて、それぞれに活発な議論を行いました。

また、1月まで当研究室に在籍されていたLaurenceさんも再来日され、将来人口データセットの開発プロジェクトFuturePopについて発表されました。

内村さんはポスター発表に加え、マイク係としてもワークショップの円滑な進行を支えるなど、多方面で奮闘しました。

気候変動予測と影響評価の最新動向に触れ、有意義な知見を得ることができた実り多い2日間となりました。

On March 5th and 6th, 2026, we held the International workshop on climate changes assessed by high-resolution global and regional climate models and applications for national hazard assessments at Kihada Hall, Uji Campus.

The event brought together nearly 100 researchers from around the world to share their latest findings on climate change projections and impact assessments in various fields through oral presentations and poster sessions.

Members of the Sayama Lab were actively involved in the program. Dr. Eva delivered an oral presentation, while Assoc.Prof. Tanaka, Dr.Phai, and Mr. Uchimura presented their work during the poster session, which sparked many productive discussions.

We were also delighted to welcome back Dr. Laurence Hawker, who stayed at Sayama Lab until early February, to join us again and deliver an insightful presentation on FuturePop.

Mr. Uchimura contributed significantly to the workshop’s success, balancing his poster presentation with his duties as a microphone moderator.

It was a highly productive two days, providing a valuable opportunity to share and obtain the latest research and development of climate change projections and impact assessments.
